I'm Lauren - a freelance copywriter and communications specialist who lives in Toronto, ON. I don't fit the mold: I'm creative and practical, strategic and efficient. I've travelled around the world and bring a global, inclusive perspective to my locally-focused work. I am passionate about community building, arts, and systems change.
My sweet spot is translating complex ideas and industry-specific concepts into digestible, actionable content. Think of me as the filter between your specialist knowledge and your target audience. I help people understand the relevance and impact of your project.
I am endlessly curious and love learning. I studied Communications at Wilfrid Laurier University and have a Master of Arts degree in Experimental Digital Media from University of Waterloo. I have broad experience in writing, community engagement, design, project management, and marketing strategy and have worked with diverse teams.
Curiosity and creativity guide me in every aspect of my life. Outside of my work, I am an avid traveller, gardener, and interdisciplinary creative.
